Who gets to present at BCI-UC?

Everyone can apply to present at BCI-UC by submitting an abstract for a presentation. Submitted abstracts can report novel as well as already published work. The BCI-UC does not have a program committee that reviews submitted abstracts. Instead, all registered participants can vote which of the submissions they would like to see presented at the un-conference.

What is the format of the presentations?

Each contributed presentations will be 20 minutes in total (15 min presentation + 5 min discussion). Presentations are held live, with the possibility to share slides or other material on your screen.

Who can vote on the submissions?

At BCI-UC the participants are setting the agenda. All registered participants get access to the voting platform and may up-vote as many submissions as they wish. 

To ensure a fair voting process driven by the interests of the BCI community, we ask that you only register and vote if you plan to attend BCI-UC. The organizers furthermore reserve the right to remove suspicious votes from the total count.

When does the registration start?

Registration for the 3rd BCI-UC will start on November 1st, 2021

When does the submission open/close?

The abstract submission for the 3rd BCI-UC will open on November 1st, 2021.

The deadline for submissions is December 3rd, 2021 at 11:59 pm (CET).

When does the voting start/end?

The voting system for the 3rd BCI-UC opens on December 6th, 2021 at 8 am (CET) and closes on December 12th, 2021  at 23:59 pm (CET).

Do I need to register to view the presentations?

No, the event will be publicly streamed. You only need to register to submit a topic or to vote on submissions.

How much does it cost to register?

Registration, submission and participation in BCI-UC are free-of-charge.

I signed up without a submission, but would now like to submit a presentation. What should I do?

After registration you can always submit a(n additional)  presentation topic with an abstract during the submission period

 

 

Will the event be recorded?

Yes, BCI-UC will be recorded and the recordings will be made public after the event. You can view recordings of past editions here.
